Filet Mignon

Want to know how I cook the perfect Filet Mignon ?

What you’ll need – Cast Iron skillet & a nice cut of Filet Mignon of course

Ingredients •

Extra Virgin Olive oil 🫒

Himalayan Pink Salt 🧂

Peppercorn Medley

Preheat your oven to 350*

Season it with salt & pepper ( be generous )

Let your Filet sit at room temperature for 30-45 min ( best tip )

Heat about 2 tablespoons of EVO on high in skillet

When the oil starts to smoke , is the best time to add your steak

Cook on high for 1 min and flip for another min ( should have a nice crust )

Take the pan with the steak and pop in the oven for about 5-8 min ( medium – rare )

Another tip ( let your steak sit on a wood platter to “ rest “ about 5 minutes before cutting )

I had red mashed potatoes and grilled garlic Brussel Sprouts with mine
